Why Ankush Gupta isn't on the list In 2008 Ankush Gupta was enjoying the Inner Harbor promenade with friends when Curtis Bay resident, Wayne Black, asked him for a cigarette and then pushed him in the water where he drowned. Wayne Black wasn't arrested until August of 2010 for that 2008 murder. In 2009, 3 men also with coffee colored skin just like Mr. Gupta: Jose Portillo, Ivan Kestler and Jamie Portillo also drowned in the Inner harbor under some extremely suspicious circumstances although their names weren't ever added to the 2009 homicide victim list. However, ever since August of 2010 after Mr. Black was safely confined to the prison system Baltimore hasn't seen any more coffee-colored men mysteriously drown. The big difference between Ankush Gupta and the other men was that nowhere in the article about Mr. Gupta did it mention that he floated. Buoyancy is the key to make the list, so Mr. Gupta isn't on this one, but since he was a homicide victim he did make my list of homicide victims in the 11th Council District.

10/14/2013 Update on Wayne Jackson Black Wayne Black, alleged serial murderer of city men with coffee colored skin, has been released from prison. His current home address is 7712 Stoney Creek Drive in Pasadena Maryland 21122. His birth-date is 07/09/1990 and he racially self-identifies as white. Associate with him at your own risk.

Hanover Street Bridge Area

As you can see many of the bodies floating near the Hanover Street are unidentified. I would assume that some of these deaths might be suicides because the Sun often doesn't release the names of suicide victims.

I just called the cops when a old man jumped off the Hanover Street Bridge today. He definitely didn't make it.

Thanks for the heads-up, Anonymous. This is so timely, I just published this post yesterday. I'll be adding a smaller map at the bottom for the Hanover Street Bridge area soon.

This has been going on probably as long as there has been a harbor. I ran across an article, in an 1850s issue of "The Sun" a boy found floating in the harbor. After that one article, not a word more about the boy.
Just to day I was searching old news papers for another research project and saw a Sun paper article about "Floaters". (Sun Paper April 10, 1952 pg14 "What Goes on at the Morgue" So I did a Google search and here I am at this web site.
